Photo courtesy of Chris Stone, , who writes, Last week I was in Williamsburg, VA for an engineering conference and was leaving town driving down the Colonial Parkway that extends from Yorktown, VA to Jamestown, VA (the first settlement in the US). Imagine my surprise at seeing what has to be one of the only metric signs remaining in Virginia, and these are all along the Colonial Parkway.
